I would like to poll the community about finding suitable to dedicate a specific thread on this forum to the utilization of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence methods in the core Aerospace Disciplines - Aerodynamics, Structures, Aeroelasticity, Stability & Control, etc. as well as Aircraft Design. There is a growing amount of literature on these topics, yet there is little to no discussion about the correctness and generality of these approaches. Most of the papers seem to focus on things that just work, but the level of generality and limitations are seldom mentioned. Moreover, the emphasis seems to be in adopting specific ML methods and less on AI-specific areas, like representations and symbolics.
