Postdoctoral Scholar Positions – Computational Modeling of Plasma Discharges

The Raja Research Group at the University of Texas at Austin is searching for a Postdoctoral Scholar in computational plasma dynamics to join research project for the development of high-fidelity predictive simulations of non-equilibrium plasma discharges.  The target application is in semiconductor manufacturing. The postdoc will contribute to the development of models for low-pressure discharges, surrogate models thereof, and their software implementation. The postdoc will also participate in the verification and validation of models and uncertainty quantification. Knowledge of and experience in the development of models for reactive plasma physics, including chemistry mechanism for the gas-phase and plasma-surface interactions is highly desirable. Applicants must have a Doctorate in Science, Engineering, Computational Science, or a related technical field. Candidates with experience in simulation of computational plasma physics or computational fluid dynamics are preferred.  The positions are immediate and will be open until filled.
