    Dear AIAA Cape Canaveral Members and Colleagues,

    There are a lot of great things happening in the Cape Canaveral section. Here are a few highlights:

    1. AIAA has switched to a new community based web platform. I encourage all of you to take part of the meaningful discussions and utilize the vast library resource. Additionally, our new section home page can be found here: https://engage.aiaa.org/capecanaveral/home

    2. Fall Dinner Meeting - Hold the Date: We are planning to have Dan Dumbacher AIAA Executive Director as a speaker for our fall dinner meeting tentatively planned for early November. Be on the lookout for more details.

    3. Attention Young Professional Members (Professionals age 35 and younger): would like to attend the AIAA Young Professional Symposium (now called "NEXT GEN") in Huntsville, AL October 24 - 26? We are trying to gather a group of members to attend and are working to secure travel funds. Reply to this e-mail if interested. Check out https://aiaanextgen.org/ for more information.

    4. Attention Educator Associate Members: Please attend the Brevard Zoo Teach Open House event on Wednesday September 12, 2018. Educational organizations and businesses from throughout Central Florida will be present to speak with you and provide informational handouts and freebies for your classroom and school. https://brevardzoo.org/special-events/teacher-open-house/

    5. AIAA Space Forum: 17-19 September in Orlando https://space.aiaa.org/Default.aspx, Don't forget about "An Evening of Astronaut Stories" 19 September at 6pm in the Windemere X/Y Ballroom.
