The monthly AIAA Carolina Section Leadership Team Meeting for September will be TODAY at 4:00-5:00 PM ET. We will be discussing future program plans.
The Carolina Section includes all of North and South Carolina except for the southernmost two counties in South Carolina, which are part of the Savannah Section. Our members are centered around seven population areas: Raleigh, Greensboro, Charlotte and Asheville in North Carolina, and Charleston, Columbia and Greenville in South Carolina. Our intent is to organize regular local programs in all of these areas. We have about 230 professional Members and 180 Educator Associates (K-12 educators), and there are about twice as many of each in North Carolina versus South Carolina (consistent with the state populations). There are also six universities that host AIAA Student Branches.
If you are interested in getting more involved in AIAA and in particular the Carolina Section, we invite you to attend our Planning Meetings. We are always looking for program ideas and new volunteers.
