Happy Friday everyone!
I am Victoria, your new student liaison on the
board for AIAA. I welcome all of our students here, new and returning. This is the time of year when many of us get
back to school. How are you feeling about it?
I know some people are taking unique paths as students. I would like to hear about your experience! My goal is to get to know you, your stories, and your goals and bring those to the table for AIAA's strategic decision making. This week, we had a board meeting in DC (pic below with our young professional liaison, Sofia Russi) and we discussed a lot about the future of our community and industry and how we can become more inclusive and innovative. Students are vital ingredients to that future.
I am planning an event focused on students and getting other people in the industry to recognize our value at the SciTech conference in San Diego in January 2019.
