SciTech 2025 is an opportunity to engage with leaders in aerospace and to build your own network and career. But in human terms this means that from January 6–10, 2025 the Hyatt Regency in Orlando, Florida and nearby sites, will be filled with people who have guided us to other planets, our Moon, designed instruments to explore the regolith and atmospheres through science disciplines such as geology, chemistry, meteorology, biology, and more.
Many simply attend sessions and return to their offices to go about the business of engineering, science, mission operations, never realizing how important they are to space history. Most contributors are humble and often we have to tell them how important they are.
How many individuals go through an entire career, retire, and pass on with no record of their contributions?
What if we didn't know anything about Frank Drake or Galileo?
Do you know who Sir George Cayley or Kitty Joyner are?
Who is YOUR hero or inspiration, and what if THEY were forgotten?
Oral History interviews are critical to maintaining continuity of history in terms that all humans can relate.
Not everyone can or will read a paper on Researchgate or Springer. But anyone can view a video posted on the internet that shares the humans behind the missions and discoveries we love.
These interviews on video or in written transcripts inspire and inform us and YOU can help make history by nominating someone (including yourself) to be interviewed at our upcoming Oral History Workshop in January.
Simply fill out this form for each Nominee (you may nominate more than one person but each must have their own form). We will select a few from submissions.
The only requirement is they must be attending SciTech 2025.
