    UPDATE: The section council is excited to announce a change in the section name from White Sands Space Harbor to White Sands. The name change was proposed by the council and brought to AIAA's Regional Engagement Activities Division (READ) with vote of approval. The name change is reflected in an amended version of the section bylaws attached. Section members are asked by Friday, 11 December to approve both the section name change and bylaws. Comments and questions are encouraged to be posted on this thread.

    Thanks for the notice and I agree with the section name change.  I think it is appropriate for the wide geographic area that we serve.
