If this sounds like something you would be interested in volunteering to help with, please let me know.

I'd like to start offering resume reviews by a professional member of the section as a potential service to university students. This is something that I participate in with UC career fairs and I really enjoy it. With everything virtual happening, this is a way for us to better connect the professional and student members as well.

What I am envisioning is we'd solicit our student branches to submit resumes using a Google form where they would provide basic info like:
    1) Copy of resume in PDF or Word doc format
    2) Interest in a follow-up conversation via email or phone
    3) Choice of reviewer (optional)

From my experience with UC, they typically provide resumes in a zip file format through email and give 1-2 weeks to complete the reviews. I've then emailed the marked up resumes (I use Adobe Acrobat Reader to mark up) back to the student and given them the option to ask questions via email or set up a 15-30 minute meeting with me to discuss. I'd be looking to follow a similar scheme though I am open to other ways to distribute the resumes as well.

Disclaimer:  I get the occasional student who is looking at me to hire them or pass along their resume. I let them know that I am only reviewing and providing feedback and I am not involved in hiring activities.
