- Aerospace is fundamental to our society and economy. Emissions of CO2 from engines and airplanes represent less than 3% of all anthropogenic contributions and are growing by more than 4% annually.
- The future is bright with new technologies that reduce fuel burn and these are being developed to be ready in time for the next generation of aircraft.
- Alternative fuels that reduce carbon intensity such as bio-fuels from sustainable sources and hydrogen, when combined with new technology can position the industry to achieve net-zero CO2.
