The “August is for Aerospace” program is intended to provide an opportunity for AIAA members to meet their local congressional representatives and discuss key issues which span across the Aerospace and Defense Industry - 1) Funding Stability and Competitiveness, 2) R&D and Innovation, and 3) Workforce Development and Enhancement.
Any AIAA Member attending the Seminar can receive credit for one (1) Professional Development Hour.
Speaker Bio:
Congressman Mo Brooks (R-AL) proudly represents the people of North Alabama and serves on two important committees: House Armed Services and Science, Space, and Technology. On Armed Services, Brooks supports national defense in general and missile defense technologies in particular. On Science, Space, and Technology , Brooks has successfully helped increase Space Launch System funding and promoted America’s role as the world’s premier space program.
