Subject: [EXTERNAL] Judges and Volunteers Needed For Regional Science Fair On March 24, 2020
Importance: High
The Mississippi Region VI Science & Engineering Fair will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center. Last year was a huge success because we had a sufficient number of judges, which has not always been the case. We are in need of about 150 judges for the approximately 800 science fair projects that are winners from the local schools. Students from grades 1-12 will be competing in 13 different science categories. Students compete for regional honors and grades 7-12 have the opportunity to compete at the state and international level.
We will meet at the Mississippi Coast Convention Center on that Tuesday 03/24/2020 about 0800 for registration, training, and assignments. Judging will begin at 0900 with the lower division first (finishing around 1030) followed by the upper division and special awards, we should be done around 1200. The dress is business casual or uniform of the day.
Thank you!
