AIAA Members in Mississippi and Louisiana, or with ties therein.

We are in need of a member or members willing to serve as a Congressional Visits Day (CVD) state captain for Mississippi and for Louisiana.  CVD will be virtual again this year and occur during the week of March 14, 2022.  The COVID spike and the difficulty of accessing the Congressional offices continues to plague our in-person meetings.   The good news is that last year our virtual event worked as well if not better than in-person.  We had more direct time with key staffers and in many cases the members themselves.  Also, since no travel was involved we had great participation from our student branches and working professional members.  AIAA Public Policy Committee will provide excellent training, excellent materials to share, key issues important to your region, and advice/support as you need it.  I need your response ASAP.  The state captain engagement telecons and training is due to begin shortly.  Please respond back to Chris Crumbly (chris@spaceroc.com) if you are willing to serve.  We need your leadership to be successful.  And, its fun.
