AIAA HRS Technical Seminar Series
The Hampton Roads Section is starting a new seminar series to highlight work done in the section including historical projects and engineer experiences. Look forward to hearing from our section professional, student, and retiree members sharing their technical and career experiences. This Friday is our inaugural presentation.
Al Ragsdale flew the Lunar Module Mission Simulator (LMS) daily preflights and mission tests for Singer Link at Johnson Space Center from October 1967 to the end of the Apollo program in 1972, and was at Mission Control during the Apollo 11 lunar landing. This presentation is a summary of the Lunar Module GN&C based on five years of personal experience in the LMS cockpit.
