  • 2024 Allan H. Taylor Memorial Award - Call for Nominations

The AIAA Hampton Roads Section is currently seeking nominations for the 2024 Allan Taylor Award.

The Allan Taylor Award is a one-time award given annually "in recognition of many years of sustained and significant volunteer contributions to the AIAA Hampton Roads Section.” If you know of any AIAA--HRS member who you feel qualifies for this award, please fill out this form or email the Chair your nomination (aiaa.hrs.chair@gmail.com). The nomination should consist of a citation (24 words or less) of why the person is deserving of the award. A more verbose nomination justification will certainly help the nominee.

    To be eligible, the candidate:

    1.       Must have a minimum of 3 years sustained contributions to the Section

    2.       Must have a continuous Section membership during the active period

    3.       Cannot be a member of the current council nor have served on the council within the last 2 years (council members consist of the current 11 council members and the 4 officers)

    4.       Past recipients of this honor do not qualify

Prior list of winners can be found on the AIAA HRS Website.

Please fill out the form or email the AIAA HRS Chair your nomination (aiaa.hrs.chair@gmail.com) before COB Wednesday, April 24.
