Call for STEM Outreach Volunteers: Classroom Visit Representatives

The AIAA Los Angeles-Las Vegas Section is looking for STEM volunteers who are willing to perform classroom visitations, lectures or presentations at local schools, supporting or assisting in classroom activities in the following Aerospace Engineering subjects:


Evolution of Flight
Physics of Flight
Flight Planning and Navigation - project: flight simulation and Young Eagles flight
Materials and Structures - project: creating and testing fiberglass samples
Propulsion - project: rocket build and launch
Flight Physiology
Space Travel
Orbital Mechanics
Alternative Applications - project: wind turbine and parachute design
Remote Systems - project: autonomous robot program and build
Aerospace Careers

Please provide your area of interest, as well as geographic constraints you may have. Many of our requests come from the South Bay schools in Southern California (Hawthorne, Manhattan, Hermosa, and Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes)
