The Yvonne C. Brill Lectureship in Aerospace Engineering was established in 2014 in memory of the late, pioneering rocket scientist, Yvonne C. Brill. Yvonne was both an NAE Member and an AIAA Honorary Fellow. She was best known for developing a revolutionary propulsion system that remains the industry standard for geostationary satellite station-keeping.

The Lectureship Award was established jointly by the NAE and the AIAA. This year, Professor Helen Reed of Texas A&M has been selected as the 2018 recipient of the Award.

She will present her lecture, "Student Design-Build-Fly Micro and Nano-Satellites, on Tuesday, October 2, 2018, from 10:30 am - 12:00 pm in conjunction with the NAE Annual Meeting in Washington.

You are encouraged to attend this FREE event in recognition of Professor Reed, who in the footsteps of Yvonne Brill, is especially committed to serving the younger members of the aerospace community.
