WPI High Power Rocketry Club - Student Presentation

When:  Mar 23, 2021 from 19:00 to 20:00 (ET)
Associated with  New England Section

Join us for the zoom session to see the impressive work of the students who designed, build and launch a sounding rocket that soars to the altitude of 4500ft, and executes a complex mission.

The Worcester Polytechnic Institute‘s High Power Rocketry Club (WPI HPRC) is a multi-disciplinary team of passionate students who aspire to be the next generation of space engineers and pioneers.

The NASA-sponsored initiative involves the hands-on project of designing, building, and launching a rocket to a target altitude in a controlled manner, and deploy the payload during the descent 500-1000ft above ground. The payload is designed to part from the launch vehicle, autonomously land, self-level, and take a 360-degree panoramic photo of the landing site and transmit the photo to the team.
