The AIAA New England Section is organizing an expert webinar session. Come and listen to Mr. Nicholas (Nick) Giovannucci speak about the HAWC FT-1B successful flight test.
During this seminar, Mr. Giovannucci will discuss an overview of his work on the design and test of the HAWC system, a hypersonic missile which flies faster than the speed of sound. Created in conjunction with Northrop Grumman Corporation (NGC), the United States Air Force and the United States Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, this weapon relies on state-of-the-art technologies from Raytheon Technologies along with scramjet combustor characteristics from NGC to allow it to function.
Mr. Giovannucci will discuss the development and tests of this weapon, as well as his involvement in the program.
