DLP 2018 - An evening with an F-35 test pilot (Sydney)

About the Event

The AIAA Sydney Section is proud to welcome F-35 test pilot Tucker Hamilton to Sydney as part of the AIAA Distinguished Lecturer Program. The national program will see Tucker visit several cities across Australia to promote aerospace to the wider community. At the University of Sydney, Tucker will discuss combat aircraft flight testing and his career highlights in an interactive lecture.

Tucker is an Experimental Fighter Test Pilot for the United States Air Force, having flown over 30 different aircraft including a zeppelin, MiG-15 and A-10, as well as the F-15. He currently supports development of all three variants of the F-35, as Commander of the USAF F-35 Integrated Test Force. Tucker has received numerous accolades and awards, in- cluding the USAF ISR Officer of the Year and Society of Experimental Test Pilots annual award for most outstanding flight test article. Passionate about STEM subjects, Tucker has earned the USAF STEM Outreach Champion of the Year award and is a founder of STEM-ED, a non-profit organisation connecting teachers with STEM volunteers.
