Science Fair Judges Needed!
Each spring, volunteers from the
American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics National Capital Section
(AIAA NCS) judge aerospace-related projects at local regional high school
science fairs, awarding thousands of dollars of prizes
annually – including a week at the U.S. Space and
Thanks to the generous support of local companies AeroAstro, Ball Aerospace, Integrity Applications, and Rockwell Collins Simulation & Training Solutions, we are again planning to judge eight regional science fairs: Arlington/Alexandria/Falls Church, Fairfax Co., Loudoun Co., Prince William Co., Washington, DC, Montgomery Co., Prince Charles Co., and Prince George's Co. (which includes St Mary’s and Calvert Counties).
We need your help!
Volunteers are needed to review aerospace-related student projects and select the top three ones. This year’s prizes include:

· All three winners will also receive invitations for two at the annual NCS awards banquet and a 1 year student membership in AIAA
Total time commitment is about 3-4 hours out of your Saturday (or Thursday, for Loudoun). We need people to evaluate aerospace-related projects and select the best three at each fair. But most importantly, we need you to inspire – and be inspired by – the future generation of the nation’s best and brightest scientist and engineers.
