Each year the V/STOL Technical Committee provides the Year in Review article for the field of Vertical and Short Takeoff and Landing. Erasmo Pinero, who chairs the V/STOL TC's Publications Sub-Committee, will author the article and could use your suggestions.

Name your top V/STOL story of this Calendar Year !
I suggest a DEADLINE for your inputs by 16 AUG, but the sooner the better. ****
For context: This may seem early in the calendar year to choose the top yearly story but the publication process takes time. The V/STOL committee's first draft of the article is due 2 SEP (two weeks earlier than last year) and we need time to synthesize and distill all worthy content by then. We'll have an opportunity to update it in November if we decide that some newer, more important V/STOL news occurs by then.
For your topic suggestion consider :
•Aerospace-related breakthroughs
•Contract awards
•Program milestones
•Policy decisions
and other SIGNIFICANT V/STOL events and accomplishments.
Step #1 :
Summarize the Significance of the topic to the field of V/STOL
Step #2:
Identify the best sources possible.
We need to reference the most credible, authoritative, primary sources, such as:
•A person directly involved
•Public affairs reps
•Those with oversight responsibility
•Technical papers
•Press releases
•Corporate/government websites
Step #3
Provide hyperlinks and references to Photographs and other Content that is already Approved for Public Release
We want to edify and engage all the readers of the AIAA's principle public magazine.
PS: If you haven't been doing this already, I suggest you add V/STOL, VTOL, and the similar keywords to your news amalgamation apps and keep abreast of the industry.
