Happy New Year!!
This new AIAA Section year runs 1 June 2020 thru 31 May 2021. This year, keep an eye out for more virtual events, some events with our sister sections: Los Angeles / Las Vegas, San Francisco, Antelope Valley, and others within Region VI.
We will also kick this section year off with our first zoom kick off intro session on 26-June at 1500 pacific time. We'd love to see your bright shining faces, so do please participate. You should have received information through Engage events section. During this event, we will introduce the new council, let you know our section goals for 2020-2021, introduce you to our student branch Cal Poly, learn about their branch goals, and give members the opportunity to let us know what types of events you'd like to participate in this year. After our kick off, we will then have a second zoom meeting at 1530, where esteemed member, Joe Bassi will tell us about the history of Space Force, when the idea started, and he will also share his dissertation on why it's necessary.
Throughout this section year, we plan to serve our members and student branch with our distinguished lecturer series, opportunities to present papers at AIAA conferences, resume workshops, speed mentoring, tours, star parties, STEAM volunteer events, and even trivia nights. You can add your thoughts to this discussion area.
