Sam,
Hello there! Thanks for the invitation and introduction. I am the Vandenberg section Chair, and we'd be happy to get in touch with you about a tour of your lab. We hold monthly meetings at VAFB on the 2nd Friday of the month at 1130 - 1300. If you're interested in attending one, I can forward you the invitation. We have a new board, and are in the process of scheduling our events for the rest of the section year. If you're interested in joining the board, we do have some open positions. Activities we have planning so far include: James Webb Telescope Tour in Jan / Feb 2020, a Student Branch event to tour areas of interest in VAFB on 27-Sep-2019, STEM Expo in March 2020, and we are in the process of scheduling our first distinguished lecturer of the year in October 2019. We will have some YP events at the base, like Live Action Clue possibly in September, and also look forward to some events off base so that members without base access can attend more easily.
Feel free to email me at
michelle.itzel@gmail.com for more information.
Respectfully,
Michelle

Dear Vandenberg AIAA Members,
My name is Sam Carey and work for a small research lab in Goleta, CA that specializes in surface forces research.
I'm new to the AIAA community, but enjoy innovation, aeronautics, and helping young scientists.
If anyone is interested in visiting our lab to see how an SFA works, we are happy to host a visit (we can accommodate up to 5 people efficiently).
I look forward to learning more about the Vandenberg AIAA community.
Best,
Sam
