Greeting Greater Philly Section!
I'm the GPS membership chair, and I'm really looking forward to connecting with you in the future. Here's a little about me, feel free to introduce yourself to the section as well.
I graduated from Penn State with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I got a job with Pratt & Whitney in Connecticut as an engineer, helping to make design changes that would make turbine airfoils more producible. Over the nine years that I was with P&W I also worked as a Durability Engineer, Design Engineer, and Project Engineer, and got my MBA from RPI. I moved to the Philadelphia area to work for Boeing in Ridley Park shortly after my daughter was born, and have been there for 16 years. I have held roles as Propulsion Design Engineer and Project Engineer on the Chinook program, and more recently the FLRAA (Future Long Range Assault Aircraft) program. My most interesting project that I've worked on was recently leading a project to integrate a more powerful engine for the Chinook, which had its first flight late last year.
