We are saddened to share that section member Leonard Stitt recently passed. He was 93. Leonard was a researcher at NASA Glenn (then Lewis), taught a class on the design of nozzles for supersonic applications, and later he turned that material into a NASA Reference Publication (NASA RP-1235). Reference Publications are NASA technical papers containing compilations of scientific and technical data of continuing reference value. Many Reference Publications are design guidelines still in use today. In addition to his service with NASA, he was a US Navy Veteran with service during WWII. He had a 75-year service with AIAA, and was a Senior Member.
