I currently teach 125 6th and <g class="gr_ gr_247 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling multiReplace" id="247" data-gr-id="247">7th grade</g> students in Greenville, IL.  We study Earth, Space, and Physical science.   I am looking for anyone to possibly help me inspire these young kids to continue to study science and hopefully end up in the science field.   Do we already have programs in the area that do this?    Am I too far out in the country for people to come (1 hour east of St. Louis)?

I am also looking to start a science club at my school.  I can't decide if I want it to be semi-limited to girls or include everyone.   I do not want the boys to be left out since I know I have a ton who <g class="gr_ gr_1477 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Grammar multiReplace" id="1477" data-gr-id="1477">are</g> very interest.   BUT when looking for grants and such those clubs focusing on girls in STEM have way more available.

I figured I would post this question to those in the St. Louis area to see what you guys thought.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Jackie
