William Martins Alves is a Simulation (CAD/CAE Multiphysics-based) and Design Engineer with proficiency in Vehicles and Machine Design, adding to these projects a systemic and integrative vision of the several disciplines involved, in which engineering tools and required knowledge are synergistic in order to produce reliable models and metamodels for optimization and control purposes.
As a Designer, he has expertise in 3D CAD Surface and Mechanism Design.
He is also a dynamicist (solids and fluids) and an enthusiast of the area of simulation, using different types of distributed parameter models (Multibody Dynamics, Finite Element, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Explicit Dynamics), lumped parameters and surrogate models.
He has knowledge in the areas of aerodynamic design, structural design, flight mechanics, aeroelasticity, control systems, structural optimization, fatigue, artificial intelligence and data science.
In addition to his work activities, William studies mathematics, astronomy and theoretical physics in his free time, as well as playing acoustic and electric guitar, violin and keyboard and has a natural talent for musical composition and artistic design.
