BS, MS and Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC). 33 Year Career in the Aerospace Industry including 11 Years at McDonnell Douglas and 22 Years at Lockheed Martin (LM). Technical background focused on high-performance Fighter Aircraft Programs, including Aerodynamics, Flight Mechanics, Stability & Control and Systems Engineering. Served 8 years as the STOVL Aerodynamics Lead on the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program, 3 years as the Ship Captain for the first F-35 STOVL aircraft and 5 years as a Program Manager within the F-35 Low Rate Initial Production Program. Currently serve as the F-35 Chief Engineer, responsible for ensuring the safety, airworthiness and technical integrity of all F-35 Engineering products.
