I wanted to bring to your attention the upcoming 2022 Congressional Visits Day (that John mentioned in his email earlier this week), taking place over the week of March 14. During this event, state teams representing AIAA from across the country will meet virtually with their legislators to discuss key issues facing the aerospace industry. Registration is still open here:
Congressional Visits Day 2022. AIAA has produced a number of state specific resources to summarize the impact of the aerospace sector and is holding virtual trainings to prepare for the visits (first session was today, recorded video posted on the page linked above). My name is Stephen West and I am serving as the coordinator ("state captain") for North Carolina.
If you have already signed up, are interested in participating (but haven't yet signed up), or have any questions, please reach out to me (
stephen@see.com). As the state captain, I can help coordinate teams to meet with specific legislators, assist in scheduling the virtual meetings, and will serve as the point of contact to report out on the outcomes of each meeting.
