Dear AIAA Central Coast of CA Section Members,
Greetings! I wanted to let you all know about an awesome event our Section will be participating in soon…the Central Coast AirFest to be held at the Santa Maria airport from 13-15 October 2023!
Our Section will be hosting a non-profit booth for this event. We'll have AIAA swag to hand out as well as a paper airplane activity. Our main goal is to let the community know we are here and to educate them on the benefits of an AIAA membership (students, teachers, professionals, young professionals, etc). BUT…hosting a booth means we need some amazing volunteers to help! We need at least 4-6 volunteers for each day; 2-3 people per half-day shift. Anyone that volunteers their time will have free entrance into the event, so you can wander the displays and watch the airshow while donating just a few hours of your time to help us spread the word about AIAA.
An event flyer is attached. The shifts will be 8 am -12:30 pm and 12:30 pm – 5:00 pm each day. Note that 13 Oct is a "practice day" for the performers. Times and dates for our shifts will be finalized as we learn more from the AirFest event coordinators.
