Airports without a tower are identified by the FAA as:

    "Non-Towered Airports " - factual but a negative.

We support a better term that is instructive and both factual and positive:

    " PILOT CONTROL AIRPORTS " " PCAs "

    PCSeaplane Water Landing Sites

Factual in that all airborne arriving, departing and taxing aircraft in addition to ADS-B are i.a.w. the FAA FARS ROW and local procedures are announcing their positions and intentions.

PCAs use the FAA ROW rules and ADS-B In and Out for cooperative pilot air traffic management.

PILOT CONTROL AIRPORTS is positive terminology.

We look forward to your assessment of this recommended better terminology ?

Which is the safer and more accurate term that describes aircraft movements at airportS:  without a tower or when the tower is closed?

We FASTA US/FL look forward to your response.
