    Announcement: Virtual 2022 AIAA Regional Leadership Conference (RLC). This event, led by the Regional Engagement Activities Division (READ), is an amazing opportunity to gain new tools and resources to help you succeed as an officer within AIAA's regions, sections, and/or student branches. Additionally, you will be able to meet and connect with other officers from around the globe to share best practices and exchange ideas. Please note we will be using the Zoom platform for these sessions.

    During these sessions, you will:

    • Learn about your role and responsibilities and how it fits into the regions and sections structure and overall AIAA mission.

    • Discover new resources and share with others what has been successful for your section/student branch.

    • Ask questions, network with your peers, and above all else, have fun.

      Setting Your Section Up For Success

      11 August, 1500–1630 hrs ET USA

       

      RLC will kick off with an overview of section roles and responsibilities, guidance on activities in a post-COVID-19 world, and how sections fit into the evolution of AIAA. Attendees will also have the opportunity to break out into rooms and network with other sections of similar sizes to gain new ideas and share best practices.

      Growing Outreach: Reaching Members Through Areas of Interest

      17 August, 1600–1730 hrs ET USA

       

      Looking to do more outreach with K-12 classrooms or local student branches? Is your section thinking about starting a technical series? Attend this session to hear from sections that excel in these areas on how to recruit volunteers and add value to your section’s membership with activities.

      Building the Next Generation of Aerospace Engineers

      23 August, 1700–1830 hrs ET USA

       

      Student branch and section interaction is very important to fostering future aerospace professionals. Join us for this session to speak with student branch leaders in order to better understand the needs of students and support their journey as future leaders.
