Experienced multi and inter-disciplinary scientist, engineer, inventor, and life-long learner that thrives in team environments. As a first-generation, immigrant, Indian American, I have held a life-long interest in encouraging diversity through educational outreach and interdisciplinary projects.
I have had the opportunity to support, develop, and lead projects in the areas of physiology, immunology, and medicine (spaceflight, clinical pathology, aging, exercise & nutrition), engineering (rocket & space systems, micro-gravity experimentation, nanotechnology), applying first-principles reasoning and creative-problem solving skills in exploring and addressing micro- to macro-scale questions to turn research concepts into real-life applications.
I have presented in these areas at 50+ local, national, and international venues, and am passionate about sharing my experiences with the next generation of scientists, clinicians, engineers, leaders.
