AIAA Space Systems Technical Committee is sponsoring their annual Student Essay contest.  This year's theme for the competition is: "How advanced can you envision space technology and exploration through the next 50 years?  What do we need to do NOW to achieve that?"  The competition is open for any seventh and eighth graders.  Local winners will be nominated for national selection and will be eligible for $125/$75/$50 for first, second, and third places, respectively.  The original submission deadline of March 31, 2020 has been extended to April 30, 2020 due to the COVID-19 impact on school closures, so there is still time for your students to submit.  For more information: https://aiaa-sf.org/STEM-outreach/ or email to Derek Lang, education@aiaa-sf.org
