Justin Wettstein works for Northrop Grumman as a Principal Propulsion Design Engineer in the Motor Performance Analysis and Design group in Magna, Utah. A true local to Salt Lake City, Justin obtained his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2015. After graduating, he moved to Ogden, Utah to work for Northrop Grumman in Promontory, Utah as a Product Development Engineer supporting the Space Launch System, OmegA, GEM63/XL and LAS programs. After being in that role for 2.5 years, he moved back to Salt Lake City and transferred to the Magna production plant and transitioned to his current role where he primarily designs and analyses the performance of the solid rocket motors. Justin obtained his Mater's in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Utah in 2019.
Justin is the current Young Professionals Officer for the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Utah Section, and is a member of the AIAA Solid Rocket Technical Committee (SRTC). In his free time he's most likely found in the mountains of Utah biking, climbing, or skiing.
