SECTION LEADERSHIP POSITIONS

Section Chair

Provides Section direction for coming year, identifies new opportunities, oversees Council actions, represents AIAA in local and national interactions as needed.

Section Vice Chair

Supports Chair when Chair cannot attend.

Secretary

Records and distributes Council minutes, manages official Council correspondence as needed.

Treasurer

Maintains Council financial records, monitors budget and creates annual budget report to AIAA national.  Provides monthly summary of budget at Council meetings.

Honor & Awards Chair

Run the section awards program, promote national award opportunities within the section, and plan the year-end awards banquet.

Historian

Provides historical perspective on Section plans and maintains documentation on Section activity for historical file.

STEM K-12 Chair

Advocate the aerospace profession to youth by organizing innovative education activities in the name of AIAA.

Young Professionals Chair

Represent the interests and concerns of our future leaders.

Technical Committee Coordinator

Coordinates Technical Committee activities with the section

Education Chair

Advocated the aerospace profession and membership in the society to student members. Organizes tours, presentations, and meetings of interest.

Public Policy Chair

Keep the section informed on AIAA, governmental, and public policy issues from all levels that are important to the aerospace community.

Membership Chair

Promote membership at meetings and events, including membership upgrades and service opportunities within the sectional, regional, and national communities of the AIAA.

Career and Workforce Development Chair

Promote programs for professional development, and keep the section informed of employment opportunities.

Social Media Outreach

Focal point for providing section news and events through various social media outlets.
