John Kutney is a retired engineer from General Electric who will present case studies from several case studies that he worked on during his career at General Electric Aviation. These include the F4H/J79 10 % subsonic cruise problem, the A300B/CF6-50 6% second segment climb issue, and the Falcon 20/CF700 23% cruise drag problem. John will discuss the events surrounding these performance issues. All these problems were resolved satisfactorily. John will describe the unusual and innovative thinking and wind tunnel and flight testing that went into these solutions.
