Goals of the Aerospace Traffic Management Integration & Outreach Committee:

  • Provide an unbiased forum for all stakeholders/members (e.g. FAA, NASA, Industry, Academia, etc.) regarding current and future ATM related challenges and issues.
    • Provide efficient information and knowledge transfers to AIAA members, industries, military and other users of ATM technologies worldwide.
  • Advance new approaches for improvements of aerospace transportation systems including ATM strategies for integrating aircraft and other flying objects with ground-based, airborne and space-borne systems to meet 21st century needs.
    • Recognize the interests of Air Carrier & General Aviation and Unmanned Aerial systems (UAS) operator members with professional interest in air traffic management to promote technical research and development for better managing aerospace traffic.
    • Monitor, evaluate, and influence the direction of ATM technologies with a focus on ATM system access, efficiency and public safety.
  • Influence decisions that will have a positive impact on the current and future state of the Aerospace Traffic Management/NextGen systems.
