Location:John Wayne Airport Administration Building3160 Airway Ave., Costa Mesa, CACosta Mesa, CA 92626
Description:
If you engage in aerobatic flight, wearing and use of a personal parachute is a Federal Aviation Regulation requirement to take seriously. FARs require that not only a sport jumper, but the pilot of the jump aircraft must also qualify and adhere to regulations. Whether you jump for sport, or are in an aerobatic emergency, advanced knowledge and planned responses only make good survival sense. This seminar will cover the care and cleaning of personal parachutes, their storage, periodic maintenance, preparation and emergency use if needed. Planning to survive an unintended situation is vital.
And, as a bonus: A two minute video inside the C-47 of jumpers reenacting the Normandy D-day invasion.
