We are looking for high school students who want to learn maker skills while helping a member of their communities with day-to-day challenges!
MIT Beaver Works is proud to announce a new educational initiative focused on Assistive Technology for the 2022-2023 school year: the CRE[AT]E Challenge! We are inviting teams of 2-5 high school students to work with a coach and member of their community with a disability, to learn to design, build, and test a product to help with a disability-related difficulty. All teams will be provided with course content to help guide the design process, and select teams will have access to project funding and mentorship from CRE[AT]E Challenge staff.
The application is due November 20 and selected teams will have a kickoff December 3, 2022! The application can be found at
https://mit-bwsi.formstack.com/forms/create_teamapplication_2022 and must be filled out by the team coach (Team coach must be over 18).
