  • Scholarship Opportunity for High School Seniors

We're now accepting submissions for our annual essay scholarship contest for graduating high school seniors who plan on a career in a STEM field.

For 2020, up to $2000 will be awarded in prizes. The total number and value of the awards will be determined based on the number of entries. To enter, students must submit a 500 to 600 word essay on the topic:

Assume that humans have devised a way to realistically move to and live on Mars. You are in charge of an international panel that has been tasked to establish boundaries and borders to separate the many expanding settlements and economic regions. Describe your plan and how you would proceed. (Consider how you would come up with a plan. What (if any) type of information, research or fact finding missions will be needed? Any special challenges in implementation?)

All entries must be received by Saturday, April 4, 2020 at 11:59 pm PDT by email.
