LEAF STEM Challenge Coaches Workshop
August 9, 2019 | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Raisbeck Aviation High School
The Lindbergh Electric Aircraft Flight (LEAF) STEM Challenge is a standards-based, hands-on project for grades 6-12. This hands-on project helps students in create solutions to real-world problems by challenging teams to design, build and fly an electric airplane that will carry the most cargo.
During this day-long coaches workshop, attendees walk through the project and learn how to design, build and fly their own airplanes. This high-interest project reinforces key concepts in elementary physics and connects to practical applications of aerospace engineering and science, demonstrating how engineers combine science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
Workshop registration is $50 and includes: light breakfast, lunch, printed materials and airplane supplies for one adult participant. WA clock hour certificates are free and available upon request.
Do you work with kids? Bring a colleague and join us for some aerospace fun!
