I am an incoming assistant professor in the school of Mechanical Engineering at Purdue University. I will be hiring two PhD track students to start in Aug of 2021. If you, or someone that you know, is interested in obtaining their PhD by working on new, impactful research in the area of dissimilar material 3D printing (i.e. combining different AM processes), 3D printing energetic materials (i.e. rocket propellant), 3D printing ceramic based materials (i.e. rocket nozzles), or AM quality control, please send me a message (here is my linkedin account: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/monique-mcclain/62/2b8/646)! Ask me about how to get an application fee waiver. I will be looking at students who apply to the ME department and the AAE department. The deadline for both programs is Dec 15. There is potential for undergraduate research projects as well next summer.

AAE requirements: https://lnkd.in/e8Nin37
Lastly, I'm interested in networking for future research project proposals and to have strong connections with the Aerospace industry. Please don't hesitate to reach out for discussion!
