Welcome to the Propulsion & Energy Forum community! We're glad you're here!
Please take a moment to introduce yourself by replying to this post.
    • Where are you from?
    • Have you attended this forum before?
    • Tell us a little about why you are attending the forum and what you are most interested in.

I'll start! My name is Luci and I am the Community Manager for AIAA Engage, which is our online community that brings AIAA members and other aerospace professionals together for discussion and collaboration. There are close to 400 sub-communities within Engage, including local member Sections, Technical or Integration and Outreach Committees, working groups and communities of interest. Some are restricted to current members only, and some are available for anyone to join. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions! (lucib@aiaa.org)

To answer the questions though... I was born in Washington, D.C., I have never attended this forum before (I started working for AIAA earlier this year), and I am most excited about trying to pop into as many sessions as possible. This is all new to me, and I am eager to learn more about what everyone is working on!

Hello Luci and other forum participants! Welcome to the forum! I am Monique McClain and I am a research scientist at Purdue who will become an assistant professor in the ME department next August. My background is in additively manufacturing rocket propellant, ceramic matrix composites, and viscous materials. I attended this forum last year, but I have also attended other AIAA forums such as SciTech. I'm looking to make connections with other researchers and people in industry and to learn new things! Lastly, I'm from southern California, but now I live in Indiana.

    Hey all!
I'm currently a graduate student at Georgia Tech. This will be my first conference and my first time to speak about research outside of university. There's a lot of interesting events this year, but I can't wait to see "Leveraging Data Science and Uncertainty Quantification for Propulsion Applications" given my interest in data science.

You may have seen me around before as I was active in Georgia Tech's AIAA Student Branch- can't wait to meet some of you going forward!

Hello everyone. My name is Saulo, I am from Colombia. This year, I will finish my Ph.D. in Brasil. In the forum, I will present the results of my thesis, which includes the simulation of the combustion between methane and oxygen for rocket applications. Let me say that solution of turbulent flows and chemical reactions, at the same time, is too hard and interesting! This is my first participation in the forum, the most important in our area. So, I am too much enthusiastic. Here, I want to know current and futures tendencies in propulsion technologies, as well as other projects and possibilities to continue my career as a researcher or in a postdoctorate position.
