    My name is Savas Mavridis, I am a modeling and simulation engineer at Northrop Grumman in Rolling Meadows. I just moved back home to the Greater Chicagoland area after spending the last 7 or so years in Atlanta and Dallas. Happy to be home and excited for the future of AIAA involvement in Illinois.

    Hello Illinois Section,

    David Carroll here...President of a small business in Champaign-Urbana called CU Aerospace.  I was the prior Vice Chair of the Section and am transitioning to Treasurer.

    I will be giving a seminar tomorrow afternoon at 4:00 pm (posting coming with Zoom link information) about our small business and the trials and tribulations we've gone through over our 24 year history.

    Hello Illinois Section!

    Thank you Savas for starting the introductions!

    I work with Draper Laboratories--headquartered in Cambridge, MA--and I am relocating back to the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago after 8 years of being out-of-state.

    I am a team lead at Draper focused on design and simulation of EO/IR sensors to inertial measurement systems (IMS) for airborne vehicles. Before Draper, I worked with Raytheon in LA, Dallas, and Boston and earned my degrees at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

    I'm excited to hear from more members of the AIAA Illinois section and look forward to engaging further with the community!
