Greetings to the Atlanta Aerospace community,
Hope this email finds you in good spirits! I'm reaching regarding a research, shadowing, internship or mentorship opportunity in your mentorship or lab.
My name is Aryan Senthilkumar, and I am a high school student near Atlanta with a deep interest in aerospace systems design and applied research. I am reaching out to express my admiration for the amazing innovated work going on in the state of Georgia and to inquire whether there may be any opportunities, formal or informal, to contribute to ongoing projects or research efforts regarding to Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.
My current research focuses on integrated pneumatic launch and recovery systems for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), which I am preparing to publish. I am also developing an AI-powered lattice structure capable of adaptive crumpling prior to impact, along with designing a desktop wind tunnel to construct, which will support future experimental studies in aircraft design and aerodynamics.
To add, although I am still in high school, I have built a strong foundation in engineering and concept application. I currently lead the concept ideation and play a great role in the fabrication and wiring of my school's FRC robotics team, 1683, which won 1st place at the state competition and advanced to the international playoffs this past May. Beyond robotics, I have been actively involved in the AIAA high school subcommittee for aerospace enthusiasts, where I hold a leadership position and am currently managing two national initiatives, including a research project exploring multiple aerospace subfields.
I have also attended numerous aerospace engineering workshops and webinars(many hosted by AIAA professionals) and am currently leading a proposal for the NASA CubeSat initiative, as well as co-leading the goal to compete in the American Rocketry Challenge this year with a school team. These experiences reflect my deep and growing commitment to innovation and aerospace engineering, both areas that burn an eternal flame inside of me.
I would be truly grateful for any guidance, mentorship, or opportunities to engage with ongoing projects or research in the aerospace field. If you know anyone that would be willing to allow me to shadow, intern, or contribute to their research, please refer them to me. Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
