    Dear Colleagues,

    I would like to call your attention to an event that the Auburn University Department of Aerospace Engineering will be holding in Huntsville on Friday, March 1.  We will be bringing nearly all of our faculty (including 9 new faculty hired in the last few years) up to Huntsville for a full day event focused on the department's research activities.  Attached is the preliminary program for the event including the addition of a keynote speaker, Debi Tomek.  Debi is the Deputy Director of the Space Technology and Exploration Directorate at NASA LaRC and will be giving a presentation on some of the research directions that NASA LaRC is prioritizing in the near future. This will be followed by 20 minute presentations by our faculty highlighting their research in the areas of space science & engineering, aerospace structures & materials, experimental fluid dynamics & propulsion, and aerospace systems & modeling.  More details, including a preliminary program, are found below.

    Auburn AE Day in Huntsville

    PURPOSE:  The purpose of this event is to initiate and nurture a regular dialog between Auburn University Aerospace Engineering Faculty and Government/Industry Representatives located in the Huntsville area.  This is envisioned as an annual event where attendees will not only learn about the cutting edge research taking place at Auburn University, but also have the opportunity to provide constructive feedback to help guide the future direction.
