The AIAA Greater Huntsville Section (GHS) is seeking nominees for Council Officers and Directors for our upcoming annual elections. Open positions are listed at the end of this message. Details on roles and responsibilities for each position can be found in this presentation.

Council positions are great leadership development opportunities. Those elected will be responsible for planning and executing actions and activities sponsored by the section. It is also a chance to meet and interact with aerospace professionals and students throughout GHS, which includes all of Alabama and part of Mississippi.

If you are interested in being part of council, or believe that someone you know would be a good candidate for one of these positions, then please reply to with the subject line: Council Nominations. The nominee must be a professional member of AIAA in the Greater Huntsville Section. Nominations from all interested members are welcome and encouraged. In your submission, please provide the nominee's name, the position for which he/she is being nominated, the person's email and phone number(s), a short one paragraph bio, a vision statement of what you hope to do in the position, and a picture. If nominating someone other than yourself, please ensure that the person will agree to be nominated and stand for election before sending the nomination.

Nominees will be requested to write a short statement stating what they envision doing in the position for which they are running. This will be requested after the nomination had been received and evaluated by the election committee.
