As a Systems Engineer at Kratos, Mike Sotak specializes in aerospace systems-level design projects in satellite command and control. His activities have included satellite ground system development and integration activities, independent research and design (IR&D) activities, proposal support, and small-scale program management across DoD, Intelligence Community, Civil, Commercial, and International domains. Mike has given several presentations on various Aerospace topics, including “Leveraging Adaptive Software Standards to Enable the Rapid Standup of Small Satellite Ground Systems” at the 2016 GSAW conference in Los Angeles, CA and a discussion on current IR&D projects and integration efforts at the 2016 EPOCH User’s Conference in Annapolis, MD. Mr. Sotak also has an active role with the AIAA’s Information and Command and Control Systems (IC2S) Technical Committee (TC), including serving as co-chair for paper sessions at SciTech 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 on complex systems of systems for the IC2S TC.
