The Niagara Frontier Section is holding a webinar on Thursday, December 17 at 6:00 PM EST. The webinar is a virtual tour of the Calspan Hanger: "Calspan's 21st Century Airborne Testbeds."
Paul Schifferle, vice-president of Flight Research at Calspan, will be giving a real-time tour of their hangar (see below), including their unique fleet of variable stability fly-by-wire Learjets and Gulfstream III airborne testbeds, using his iPhone and Zoom.
As VP Flight Paul oversees the unique aircraft modifications to and flight test of Calspan’s fleet of seven airborne testbeds and in-flight simulators. He is a distinguished graduate of the University of Buffalo with a B.S. Aerospace Engineering and M.S. Mechanical Engineering and is currently an adjunct instructor in UB’s Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.
